We get so caught up in the little things, and if you pay attention you will se just how often you let them ruin a good mood! Wouldn’t you like to keep the good mood? Well, like I’m always telling you, it’s your choice! You have the power!
A great tool I like to encourage people to use is ‘so!’ Not in a horrible way, just a nonchalant kind of ‘I recognise this is actually nothing to get worked up about’ kind of way.
My finger nail just broke. So!
That guy just cut me up! So! Oh well!
I missed the parcel delivery. So!
These are the silly things that go around destroying our inner peace, so don’t let them! Fight back with so!
Even the ‘bigger’ things…..
My husband is… (Fill in as you please) so!
We didn’t get our child into the school we wanted. So!
I don’t know what to do with my life. So!
In these cases, so is a great starting point. Before you get your head all wrapped up in the situation and it becomes a bigger problem, so can help you diffuse some of that energy and allow you to get a clearer idea of the way forward. It’s a way to help you recognise and remember it still isn’t the end of all things. Everything happens perfectly and for a reason, so diffuse your thoughts with a so! And move on from there…
(Insert big problem here). So! Ok how is it I feel about this. What are the possibilities for moving forward. Is there something I know my soul needs that it’s not getting etc.
Use so as a wonderful tool, to shrug off the little things and stop them destroying your inner peace AND diffuse a ‘bigger’ problem to clear your thoughts for the way forward.
